What your league gets

Real game photos for every family, and your team parents get to watch the game instead of shooting it.

No cost to the league

No fee to book, nothing to pay up front, nothing for families to sign up for. Rival is paid only when a family buys a photo.

A share of every sale, or free team photos

Your league earns a share of every photo sold at its games. If your board would rather not handle the money, take free team photos instead. In return, Rival is your league's exclusive game photographer and videographer.

Live galleries during the game

Photos go up while the game is on. Parents scan the Rival sign at the field, type a jersey number and see only their kid, right from the bleachers.

Prints at the game

Families can get prints right at the field, not just downloads on a phone.

A photo policy your board can sign

Unlisted galleries, small watermarked previews, a Remove button on every photo, and no photo of an athlete 12 or under on social media without a written OK from a parent, the team or the coach. It's written down, so you can hand it to your board. Read the photo policy

You deal with Michael

From the first email to the last game of the season, you talk to the photographer, not a sales rep.

A season with Rival

How it runs, from the first email to the monthly report.

  1. 1

    Agree on the season

Pick your share (a cut of sales or free team photos), sign a simple exclusivity agreement, and send your game schedule. Michael plans the season around it.

  2. 2

    Signs go up, Michael shoots

A Rival sign with a QR code goes up at the field, and Michael shoots the game from the sideline. Photos post while the game is still on.

  3. 3

    Families buy what they want

Parents scan the sign, type their kid's jersey number and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. No app, no account, and nobody has to buy.

  4. 4

    Your monthly sales report

Every month your league gets a report of what sold at its games and what its share comes to.

What families pay

Nobody has to buy anything. Families find their kid by jersey number and pick only the photos they love.

$2.99

A photo, during the game

Full size, no watermark. The price while the game is still on.

$5

A photo, after the game

The gallery stays up for 48 hours after the final whistle, then comes down.

At the game

For the fridge, or for the grandparents who couldn't make it. Ask at the Rival sign.

Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. No account, no app. Stripe handles every payment, so Rival never sees a card number.

Spotlights, booked by families

Some families want more than a few game photos. They can book an athlete spotlight with Rival on their own. It's always the family's choice, and it never costs the league anything.

$50

Game Spotlight

One athlete is the focus for one game. 20 to 30 edited photos in their own private gallery.

$150

Big Night

Pregame, the whole game, and postgame with family and teammates. 40 to 60 edited photos, built for senior nights and first games.

$35+

Video

For athletes: Social Reel $35, Mic'd Up $50, Pregame + Postgame + Highlights $150, College Highlight Tape $100 a game. For your league or school: Full Game Broadcast Coverage from $750 a game with two cameras (a third camera is $550 more), Social Media Recap Edits $350 a game or $2,400 for an 8-game season. Team and individual photo days

Add a photo day to your season: every team and every player on one set day, scheduled around your practices. Photo days are quoted for your league. Or take free team photos as your league's share instead of a cut of sales.

Where Rival Imaging works

Rival is based in Peabody and covers the North Shore and Greater Boston: town rec on a Saturday morning, youth football and hockey, club soccer, Little League, middle school, high school and college games.

From Northeastern Conference towns to the Cape Ann League, the Greater Boston League and the Middlesex League, plus the youth programs that feed them. Games more than 45 minutes from Peabody may add a travel fee, which you'll see before anything is signed. Anywhere else in New England, ask.

Every month Rival features one local coach, any sport, any level. Nominate a coach for Coach of the Month

Questions directors ask

The ones that come up at board meetings. Anything else, ask Michael.

What does this cost the league?

Nothing. Rival covers your games at no cost to the league. Rival is paid only when a family buys a photo, and no family has to buy one.

Do you need to be our only photographer?

Yes, when your league takes a share of sales or free team photos. In return, Rival is the league's exclusive game photographer and videographer for the season: no other paid photographers or video crews selling at your games.

Parents can always take their own photos and videos of their kids. Exclusivity is about other businesses, not families.

The agreement is one page. It covers paid photo and video businesses at your games for the season you sign, and either side can end it with 30 days' notice.

How does the league's share work?

Your league earns a set percentage of every photo sold at its games, written into your agreement before the season starts. Every month you get a sales report showing what sold and what your share comes to, and the share is paid with it.

Athlete spotlights and videos are booked by families directly, so they sit outside the share.

If your board would rather not handle money, take free team photos instead. Either way, Rival is your exclusive game photographer and videographer for the season.

What about kids whose parents opt out?

Every photo has a Remove button. Any parent can tap it and the photo comes down.

No photo of an athlete 12 or under goes on social media or in ads without a written OK from a parent, the team or the coach. Galleries are unlisted and kept out of Google, previews are small and watermarked, and there's no face recognition. Parents find their kid by jersey number.

Send a do-not-post list before the season and Michael keeps those athletes out of the galleries.

The whole thing is in the photo policy, written so your board can sign off on it.

Can you cover more than one field at once?

Michael is one photographer, so he covers one game at a time. If your league plays several games at once, send the schedule and you'll pick the games to cover together.

How far will you travel?

Rival is based in Peabody and covers the North Shore and Greater Boston. Games more than 45 minutes from Peabody may add a travel fee, agreed before the season. Anywhere else in New England, ask.
